Lendon aerial photos

The long awaited aerial photos have arrived.  We are happy with the cool photos that we took and even more excited to share them with you!  We also had some aerial video however the video was pretty shaky and may have caused some viewers dizziness so I decided to wait until the next round to get a better video for y'all to see.  These images are all taken by the GoPro camera attached to the Phantom QuadCopter.  I hope you enjoy the pictures and look forward to the next round which should include a cool site flyover video so you can see the entire site from the air!

ValleyFest 2013 at Jones Farm Park

The ValleyFest had a great turn out today!  There were many vendors, entertainment, and food.  The weather was warm and sunny and the vendor tents offered a nice bit of shade while we were walking around.  We enjoyed the subtle breeze as we browsed the cool items throughout the park.  The hot air balloon arrived a little late, but it finally made it to give rides.  The event is going on until 6pm tonight, stop down to enjoy the fun if you have a chance.  Here are some pictures we took today.

This evening I took some shots of the progress that has been made over this past week.  I took a lot more pics than I could post because the sun was not cooperating with the camera angles.  But what you can see in the best of the shots I took are some cool improvements.  The ground has been raised nicely to ensure proper runoff, the sewer pipes are in place and ready to go, the stream bed has been mowed down, and there is a new dirt and gravel road on the north side of the stream running parallel to it from Somerby road to the Jones Farm Park walking track.  One of the other things you can see is the ground preparation for ValleyFest 2013.

Government shuts down, Lendon continues!

In spite of the political back and forth followed by a government shutdown, Lendon stays it's course and continues to grow.  We are happy to see the work continue as we move closer to the ValleyFest 2013.  The ValleyFest Signs have been placed and the talent is ready!  We can see the grounds being prepared and graded to make a perfect area for the Arts & Crafts, Live Music, Food, and of course the Hot Air Balloon Rides!  The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 12, 2013 Join us from 11 - 6, please come and join us for a great time.
