Lendon June updates and a rainbow!

We are pleased to report that all of the roads in the Phase I area seem to be paved as you will notice in the pictures.  You will also find that many of the trees have found their way around the newly paved roads which is starting to give the development more of a community feel every day.  Of course work is continuing on the rest of the development, much of which pictures can't really capture, for example all of the drainage and utility pipes have been successfully installed.  A huge plus, but little to see above ground.  I hope you enjoy the pictures, see if you can find the rainbow in a picture or two.

How did Lendon hold up to the heavy rain and flash flooding in Huntsville

Over the weekend you may have noticed the flash flood warnings and wondered how Lendon held up.  Good news!  The drainage system throughout the development area worked perfectly!  All of the water drained as should be expected and there was no unexpected standing water.  Here are a few pictures the morning after the flash flood warnings and heavy rainfall.  Also notice that the asphalt is down on some of the streets, how cool is that?  Any guesses what's next?  Street signs?  Lights?  Buildings?  We're all looking forward to the new community and I'll keep bringing you pictures so you can follow this exciting development!

New design signs at Lendon just in time for Valley Fest

With Valley Fest 2014 just a couple of days away we are happy to see some new additions to Lendon.
We now have several new signs that display the future locations of the various types of buildings and features that will be in each area located throughout the development.  These signs are very cool and give us the sense of what will be coming soon.  You can look into the pictures, take it in, then close ur eyes and imagine the community that's on its way.  We also find that curbside parking cement has been poured on the main street, very cool!  Enjoy the pictures at the bottom of the page and don't forget to stop by on Saturday for more fun than you've had in a loooong time!

Lendon - A view from space

We have recently found that a NASA instrument named ISERV has captured a few images of the Lendon development in progress from the International Space Station, so I thought we would share them with you.  We also hope that you can stop by this Saturday to meet the Development team and enjoy all of the activities of Valley Fest 2014 at Jones Farm Park which is directly adjacent to the Lendon Development.  We are looking for some good weather and great fun, come join us if you can!

Valley Fest Postponed.

The stormy outlook for the weekend has put a damper on the pending Valley Fest in Jones Valley.  The festivities have been postponed until May 17th. As we know, one thing leads to another. When one door closes another opens and no doubt turn a negative into a positive. With having to postponed Valley Fest due to chances of rain, Lendon's trees are starting to arrive and the rain will certainly help the new addition to the park and Lendon's streetscapes. So we are indeed happy for the trees to find their new homes and will give them a wet welcome!
