Getting Ready for Spring

As you can see the cold winter months have put a slow pace on the Lendon development. I have added a few pictures to catch you up an where we are starting from this spring so we can watch the miracle take shape before our eyes. You will notice in the pictures that there is a stone road that is firm enough to drive on, although I would not recommend taking a joy ride just yet. The plots in phase one area are all marked out and have utilities connections run to them. There is drainage as well as fire hydrants throughout the development along the roads. With a quick glance it looks very similar to late fall but upon closer inspection we can see the subtle changes. Enjoy the pictures!

Getting ready to move in to your Lendon Home

This may seem a little early to start thinking about moving in to your new Lendon home, but really it's never too early to start the planning.  It is best to make sure that you are completely covered in the moving department.  Last minute distractions can really be disruptive in a move.  So let's cover a few things that you can start thinking about early to avoid the stress of unplanned drama.

1) Consider all of your current belongings.
a) Are there items you own that you use seasonally or relative less often that you can begin to pack?
b) Are there items that you really don't want or use any more that you could donate to charity or sell in a garage sale?
c) Do you have packing supplies such as boxes, shrink wrap, blankets, and straps?

2) Consider the new home, will you need new items?
a) Curtains
b) Throw rugs
c) Throw pillows
d) Furniture
e) Pet supplies

3) Start talking to your service providers
a) Speak with you insurance carrier about the changes you will be making. They can guide you through the process of changing your home owners insurance as well as all other insurance policies you may have.
b) Mailing address will need to be updated. You can do this online in most places or go right down to your local post office. You can schedule this to be done at a future date so it can be taken care of as early as you know a move in date.
c) Cable and phone services are good to schedule as early as possible as well. They get booked and if you don't schedule them early you can be stuck waiting several days or even a week to get you new service.

4) If you are new to the area it is a good idea to spend a weekend or two prior to moving in to become acquainted with the location
a) Drive around and find the local stores and shopping centers.
b) Look around for your exercise locations, gyms, hiking trails, play grounds.
c) Locate and visit your local congregation.

Morning snow at Lendon

The snow kept falling throughout the night leaving Lendon covered in a soft brilliant white blanket of awesomeness!  I couldn't pass up these cool pictures, Hope you enjoy!

Snow falls on Lendon!

Today we were lucky enough to get a little bit of snow here in Huntsville.  I caught a few pictures of the snow covered Lendon Development.  I hope to be able to capture a few more snow covered pics in the morning as it's kept snowing so it might just pile up overnight!  Here's the pics I took. Ice covered pond at Lendon

As everyone knows, it's been unusually cold here in Huntsville this winter.  There were some scattered snow flurries but nothing that really accumulated on the ground here.  We were able to capture a few pictures of the ponds that help to show the level of frigidness Lendon saw this year.  You can see the ice covers the pond and to make it more clear Dexter decided to walk out on it in one of the pictures.  We hope you like the pics!  Stay warm and don't worry, spring temps are just around the corner for Lendon!

A Brisk January Day

It's been a cold few weeks here at Lendon.  Work is still being done, and I would like to send out a special thanks to the guys out there working in this frigid weather!  You guys are a great team of workers and Lendon is privileged to have you all!  Here are a few cold weather pics I took so you can see the progress they are making.  Take note of all the utility pipes that are planted at the property sites as well as the road as they are cutting and rocking that currently.
